These days, some users who plan to use this app for timing the occultation of Regulus, asked me to add some new functions, which, I think, might be useful for satellite observing as well. The need is to have synchronized beeps that can be recorded along with the video and permit later to assign times to the frames. I've added a function called 'Audio Time' (in the application menu) that triggers this audio mode. When active, a voice reads the initial time, then synchronized beeps start. Each beep lasts 150 ms, starting from 75 ms ahead of the seconds change, so that, the beep window results centered across each change. In addition, in order to permit a simpler recovery of times from the video, every 10 seconds a female voice reads out the current seconds and a male voice reads out the minutes at second 0. When the Audio Time mode is active, the time string on the screen becomes also bigger, in case one wants to record it. This new version should be already available on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.satflare.timesat Best Regards, Simone _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Sat Mar 15 2014 - 13:26:03 UTC
