    NASA has said they wanted to do it a few times to check things out but may go back to the multi day trip because its more relaxed and more forgiving to problems. They might use the quick ascent when they need to get samples or something to the station quickly.
    
    Contrary to the article, this wouldn't be the first manned use of this technique. This was first demonstrated during Gemini in the 1960's.
