NASA reports that the junk passed harmlessly and the astronauts are exiting the Soyuz to return to normal duties.

In view of the fact that  I am clouded out I watched the live feed online at http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/isslivestream.asx\but it was hard to interprt what was going on, there was a line of light vertically across the screen, an octagonal like object in view, and then a brief flash but I have no idea whether or not any of it was connected with the pass of the object!  (as an aside it was also interesting to see  from an  above view the weather system which is causing me to be clouded out!)
