Oops--- I forgot to mention another worthwhile book and that is THE SATELLITE
EXPERIMENTERS HANDBOOK by Martin R.Davidoff and available from THE AMERICAN
RADIO RELAY LEAGUE. It is billed as "A Guide to Understanding and using
Amateur-Radio, Weather and TV-Broadcast Satellites." Whilst it is aimed at the
radio amateur it does cover satellite orbits with numerous examples and even
some basic code to write your own programs. It has come out in at least two
editions. I would rate it as suitable for beginners and the average satellite
    tracker.

Must now go take the wife shopping for new spectacles before I can think of
getting my next "toy" :-))-have to do things according to her priority list!

    Cheers
    Greg
