Yes !!! At last ! After many unsuccessful attempts, I finally saw the final moment of the main engines firnig just before MECO. The object was a mere 2,5 degrees over the southern horizon when I acquired it using my 20x80 and moving fast. It was visible at 1x with a magnitude of about 0 and an orange color. Then there was MECO where I lost it for a few seconds. What was interesting was the OMS or RCS engines firings that were as bright and of short duration. I lost the shuttle because of the wall of the house at 06:38:20 UTC. I was observing on the front second floor balcony. A very sight to remember. I love night launches !
