Bernhard Gotthardt has kindly shared with us his fine image of the Proton Block DM burn that circularized the orbit of three Glonass M satellites, launched on 2006 Dec 25. The second image file is an enlargement of the first: http://satobs.org/seesat_ref/BlockDMburn/wasistdas1.jpg http://satobs.org/seesat_ref/BlockDMburn/wasistdas3.jpg Ted Molczan Admin Date: Sun, 4 Mar 2007 21:05:45 +0100 To: admin@satobs.org From: b.gotthardt@sbg.at Subject: picture from "Glonass launch of 2006 Dec 25: venting observed from Europe" Hi Mr. Molczan! My name is Bernhard Gotthardt and I am from Salzburg, Austria. While observing during the night from 25.12.2006 to 26.12.2006 we recognized this "cloud". It was possible for me to take a picture with my Canon 350d with EF-1.8/85 at exactly 00:50 a.m local time (23:50 UTC) about 30km east from the town of Salzburg. I read your message in http://www.satobs.org/seesat/Dec-2006/0313.html and thought, that you are maybe interested in this picture. Here it is.
