    I did not see the object at all between flashes.  I
    estimated the magnitude of the brightest flashes at
    around 6 or possibly 7.  The motion was actual as
    every couple of minutes I had to move the binoculars
    significantly to compensate.  Of course, I could be
    mistaken!  I will try again tonight as it will be
    clear hear (I hope!).  What made the object so
    interesting were the nature of flashes.  I will try
    and bring the scope out so I can get a better look if
    I can find it again...
