I was testing out a Focal Reducer that I purchased http://www.khanscope.com/accessDetails.cfm?productID=1253 I can see down to at least Magnitude 11, when I was using it in the end of my 4 ince refractor http://www.celestron.com/prod_pgs/tel/nx102slt.htm It gives me at least 1/2 degree feild of view, when using the video camera. That's so nice to have a wider feild of view, then I would have if I didn't use the Focal Reducer. The satellite I spotted, after I had replayed back the video today was SL-8 DEB ( 01479 ) It was over 1700 km away at the time. http://www.kfetter.com/satvideo/01479.wmv Look carefully at the bottom left corner, for the satellite.
