    The object 2006-005B is part of the ASTRO-F launch, not the ALOS project (ALOS 
    has 2006-002A). The Japanese have done a successful solar sail deployment 
    test on a ballistic flight about a year ago. So I wouldn't give up hope yet. 
    Of course one would expect more publicity for something like a solar sail 
    (more in line with what we had last year with Cosmos-1). Do we have any 
    friends in Japan who might be able to dig deeper into the Japanese language 
    sites?
