The satellites seen by Peter Frankland and guests are the NOSS 3-1 (Naval Ocean
Surveillance System) formation. Here is the Heavens-Above prediction for the
leading object, 01040C / 26907, on the observed pass:

NOSS 3 satellites normally reach magnitude +5 under favourable conditions, but
    occasionally flare to minus magnitudes.
