Hi all , Thanks to David Taylor on the rig-l group , which specialises in wx fax imaging , my attention has been drawn to the following http://oiswww.eumetsat.org/~idds/images/out/20040304_000000_08_VIS006-0_0.jpg The image shows the full disc (visible) ,as captured by Meteosat 8 at "0" degrees , midnight on March 4. An hour after the Hotbirds started to go into earth shadow , it was the turn of those birds at 0degs , and if you look closely at the image , bottom left , you can just see the result of Sun flare on the scanning mechanism. So what we have here is the "other" end of story ,...the sun in oppsotition , as seen from the satellite :O) Brilliant stuff ! Regards, John. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
