The picture was not stacked -- it was a composite, meaning I actually stacked them to get the proper registration between frames, but then I cut out closely around each J002E3 image overlayed that at 100% opacity to the 1st image. So the relative brightnesses are held approximately correct. I didn't state this in the e-mail, but we did visually see the object through the 16" scope at over 350x. Previous experience has shown this scope to go to 16.5 to 16.7 mag on nights of similar transperancy. Not real scientific, but a good guesstimate. I did not have time to check "Selected Areas" (SAs) for a firm magnitude fix. Hope you all enoyed the image.
