I, being somewhat geometrically challenged, have a question for those that aren't. Now, I was just looking at the ground plot of some iridium satellites and something occurred to me. I noticed that they travel pretty much N-S. My question is this: at the equinoxes, could for a time an iridium satellite follow what would, from its perspective, be red light from a sunset? If so, does anyone see at certain times of the year colored iridium flares? I supposed that it wouldn't have to be at any particular time of the year but I am thinking that at the solstices the red color might be prolonged. Thanks!
