On Sat 2002-3-9 I saw a good flare from Iridium 94 ? that reached perhaps mag -7! (Predicted -4.) On Tue 2002- 3-12 I saw a flare from Iridium 91 ? to mag -2 as predicted. So now I've seen 2 of the newest Iridiums. Non-flaring passes brighter than predicted. (I'm not criticizing standard magnitudes, just noting that one is often nicely surprised.) March 5, saw 22220 Cosmos 2219 r reach about magnitude 1.5 predicted 2.9. March 8, saw 20390 Cosmos 2053 r reach mag 1 or so after culmination, then suddenly faded 0.5 mag March 12, 11156 Cosmos 1063 r mag 1.5 predicted 2.6. March 16, a nice pass of UARS. Also saw Comet 2002 E2 Ikeya-Zhang, my first time, from Mt. Wilson.
