    This made me think of something new. The other day I was wondering if any
    gas phosphoresced. [One definition of phosphoresce: an enduring luminescence
    without sensible heat.] I never thought of a meteor train or the train
    created by the shuttle as a phosphorescence but I suppose that it is.
