Thanks everyone for the help. I'm getting educated fast. A lot
of help came off-line. 

Last night I bagged half a dozen satellites including the very
red Lacrosse2, one Iridium flare (actually it double flared), 
and later got Vanguard 2, Vanguard 2 Rocket, Echo I Rocket and
Altair. I was surprised at Echo I Rocket. It was 4th to 5th 
mag. and easily visible to the naked eye. This is a nice
addition to my variable star observing and lunar & planetary
videotaping.
