Hi Everyone, I haven't sent any mail in a while, I'm too darn busy! Anyway, the Mir deorbiting had my undevided attention (of course) and something here caught my eye: Someone was saying earlier that the US didn't have any more oppurtunities to observe MIR in the dark, but some it would be occulting the sun in some locations. I had no idea an occultation of the sun by a satellite was visible. How can I observe one of these events? I used SatSpy's cone filter today and found that a Cosmos rocket would be traversing the sun, so I set up my 10" dob with a piece of paper to project the image onto, but I saw nothing. Can someone provide more info? Thanks, Patrick __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get email at your own domain with Yahoo!
