I haven't been following the recent STS mission as usual and heard and
interesting comment from a co-worker today.

Seems like a spacewalking astronaut "lost" a footpad for the Canadarm on a
recent spacewalk.  Is this true?  If so, has SPACECOM catalogued it?  It
would be interesting to see if this could be picked up optically with
binoculars.
