Had to relate what is probably my last sighting of Mir and probably the best. It was running 30 sec early and was a steady 0 mag until after the midpoint. As it descended in the east, it made several small flares to -1 to -2. When it got to about 20 degrees in the east it flared to about -6 for a few seconds. It was great. I will be sorry to see this old friend go.
