I have not seen this posted on SeeSat yet --- Some REALLY COOL Shuttle launch shots taken from Disneyworld / Orlando, about 60 miles from Kennedy. Great job, Mr. DeVito! RICK BALDRIDGE Campbell, CA ______________________________________________________ For those of you who may be interested I happened to be in Florida for a conference and was able to observe the most recent shuttle launch from about 50 or 60 miles (distance at launch). I've posted them at http://www.thedevitos.com/shuttle.html These are digital photos were taken from Disney World in Orlando Florida at dusk on February 7, 2001. The Shuttle Atlantis is on it's way to deliver the Destiny laboratory module to the International Space Station. My vantage point was looking almost due east toward Cape Kennedy (about 60 miles away) with the setting sun behind me. Of special interest, note the changing color of the plume as the shuttle altitude increases and the refraction of the sun's light by the earth's atmosphere is reduced. Hope you find them interesting, Regards Tony DeVito ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
