Not a really big Iridium-watcher, but did check out the local really-bright flares. Of course my favorite flares were when I least expected them. Often during starparties we'd see one that we didn't know was coming, and we'd try to estimate the magnitude. These were as exciting as watching a bright meteor. Will miss them, but that's okay, I'm already depressed about Mir :-(.
