Hello All,
An off topic item.
Based on OIG/GSFC Satellite Situation Report vol 41 #1 released Feb 7,
2000
count of objects achieving orbit each of the past 43 years.
Anyone who can provide the SSR number or dates of _printed_ releases
for
any year not identified below would be greatly appreciated!
===========================================================================
Fourth number (unknowns) on each line below is
non-earth/determined/released
count of objects. Currently about 133 objects of the 627 unknowns have
been
_published_ as being non-earth orbit. The rest, no info known or
classified
objects.

Requests for the program ORB-YEAR.EXE v2.4 which extracted the above
data can be made to my private email address below. Be advised this
program is for the currently released OIG/GSFC SSRs format.
ORB-YEAR.EXE provides four (4) separate files listing the NORAD number,
assigned name and cospar of each orbiting payload/rocket (A,B),
unknowns,
decayes (with date), debris (C,D,ect.) objects and total count of each
for any year selected.
Note: A program limitation for C,D,E, ect. payloads or rocket bodies.
:-(
Such objects which are not debris could only be identified by searching
for the _lack_ of " DEB " in the SSR assigned name of principle object.
Since this has no effect on total orbiting or decay count I elected not
to do so.
