The news about the Ofeq 3 boosts is fascinating and shows that you should
never give up on an old satellite !

Following the launch in 1995 I asked IAI about the satellite and in a fax
dated April 11th 1995 I was told "The final orbit will probably be a
circular 500 km, although this has not yet been finally decided." I
published this information in a few places (my own Worldwide Satellite
Launches plus Jane's Intelligence Review, for example) but with no
manoeivres within a few months of launch I had assumed that the
manoeuvre would not take place. Now, three years later it has !

I wonder what role Offeq 4 was to play in the Offeq 3 programme ? Of
course, we do not have a planned orbit for this launch failure.
