Though it be somewhat peripheral to visual sightings, perhps some of you
in the LA area would really like to know about this talk, which is open to
the public:

Special Harvey Mudd College Alumni speaker

James Seastrom, HMC '80, project manager of US-Russian Space Shuttle/Mir
Safety Program, will speak on the "Combined American-Russian Space Team,"
Tuesday, March 24, 7:30 p.m., in Beckman Hall. Seastrom will discuss
safety and other associated topics related to the Shuttle/Mir program. He
will also offer insights into the philosophies, approaches, differences
and level of cooperation between the United States and Russian space teams
and share anecdotes about the two countries' programs.

Sorry I won't be able to be in Claremont.

Cheers.

Wouldn't it be amusing if the people who love the COSPAR ID would someday
decide on a uniform standard method for writing it?
