Lacrosse 1 (88-106B) was missing from its predicted orbit this evening (1997 March 26) on passes at 20:31 and 22.11 U.T. It was observed successfully on March 24 at 19:32 and 21:13 U.T. All observers are encouraged to check on any visible transits at their site. If de-orbiting has in fact taken place, it may well strengthen the suggestion that a replacement Lacrosse is soon to be launched. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- best wishes Russell Eberst North: 55 degrees, 56 minutes, 55 seconds West: 3 degrees, 8 minutes, 18 seconds 43metres (150 feet) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
