A. While watching Superbird A on 21 Mar 97 UT I noticed another
slow-moving flasher moving through the field of view. Later check
with Skymap indicates it was DFH-3 RB, #23416, 94-080 B. It was
much closer to perigee than apogee and was visible in 50 mm binocs.
Period was not determined due to concentration on Superbird.
B. I am excited about Rob Matson's implementation of SDP for Skymap.
I have used Skymap and SGP4 to view Molniya satellite (eccentric).
Seems to me that near to epoch, times were ok, but using older elsets
I would get a minute or more time error. Bjoern mentioned that SGP4
is not suited for this type orbit.
Is this a manifestation of his statement? Also I assume that SDP would
work better with Molniya's and older elsets much as Rob's recent test
with Superbird A.
