With binoculars, I was able to see the shuttle Sun. evening at an elevation
of 9 degx

On Feb 8, I saw C1953 R, 87 49B, varying from mag 4.2 to 6 with a period of
about 15 seconds.
It seems the last observation of it was 7/94, so while this period is not
exact, it is a current update.
