Hi all, Paul Camilleri, a novice Australian satellite observer, has found the NROL-37 payload (Mentor 7) on June 14. His find is the result of a dedicated photographic survey for the object. To his observations (communicated off-list so far) covering slightly under one day, I fit the following *very preliminary* ~7.5 degree inclined orbit, placing it near 104 E, slowly drifting westwards: Mentor 7 1 41584U 16036A 16166.96303997 0.00000000 00000-0 00000+0 0 06 2 41584 7.5000 353.7000 0046000 41.4155 318.9349 1.00200000 04 rms 0.006, from 7 obs, 2016 June 14.70 - June 15.48 UTC (I have used fixed round values for a few parameters here). see also: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.nl/2016/06/mentor-7-nrol-37-payload-found.html Congrats to Paul for finding the object! - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, the Netherlands. e-mail: sattrackcam_at_langbroek.org Cospar 4353 (Leiden): 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL Cospar 4355 (Cronesteyn): 52.13878 N, 4.49937 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com Twitter: _at_Marco_Langbroek ----- _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Sat Jun 18 2016 - 08:39:19 UTC
