LightSail [40661/15025L] was with the video camera! At about 15 deg elevation it first was invisible, but then gave a long flare upto about 4th or 5th magnitude. It was running about 10s early on the last JSpOC elset, suggesting the sail has deployed, increasing the drag significantly. Congratulations to the Planetary Society! 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014209097 17 25 2036348-200996 37 I 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014219100 17 25 2044092-191212 37 I 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014517135 17 25 2319738+001322 37 I 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014521756 17 25 2323621+003977 37 I 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014526495 17 25 2327741+010646 37 I 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014531475 17 25 2331868+013392 37 I 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014536579 17 25 2336223+020139 37 I 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014541678 17 25 2340376+022818 37 I 40661 15 025L 4171 G 20150608014545474 17 25 2343594+024761 37 I ------------------------------------------------------------------ Setup: Watec 902H2 video, 50mm F/1.8, NTP, Nexstar SLT mount IOD format: http://www.satobs.org/position/IODformat.html COSPAR 4171: 52.8344N, 6.3785E, 10m (WGS84) ------------------------------------------------------------------ Regards, Cees _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Sun Jun 07 2015 - 21:09:59 UTC
