On 2011, May 31 between 22h29m and 22h30m UT I serendipitously noticed 3 short flashes at mag 2-3 of a polar satellite descending from Ursa Major to the NNW horizon.
Thanks to Calsky it turned out to be Iridium 44 , 1997-77 B.
The photometric period was roughly estimated at 25 sec. Not a common behaviour for an Iridium satellite it seems.
