    Hi all,

Just after suggestions for the following. I have just seen a very
bright flare which I can't identify.

Details are as follows (sorry they aren't very technical): Flare time
approximately 6.25 pm. Approximately 40 degrees above the horizon
(North East). Flare possibly -8 or brighter.

I looked for Iridium flares but none match. The other option is the
International Space Station. That passed a few minutes earlier
according to Heavens Above. Is it possible that the time is off
slightly on the Heavens Above site?

Anyway whatever I saw, the flare was spectacularly bright (brighter
than any Iridium flare I have seen). I was sitting inside watching tv
and it caught my eye (high window) in a brightly lit room.

    Regards,

    Paul Floyd.
