Molniya-1 44, int. design. 1979-070A cat.no 11474 Almost at the end of my observation session of 2010-06-12/13 I was surprised by a +1 flash of a fast moving object. My first thougt was it concerned a newly launch of which I saw the rocket. So I was expecting more maxima. But they did not appear. In stead the object moved almost unable to see by the naked eye. I saw one more maximum, presumably +4 and that was it. I was able to identify this object. When looking at a recent TLE I noticed the perigeevalue is about 54 degrees so well near my latitude. It is worth to find it again but observing circumstances are diminishing because the perigee part of the orbit is disappering in the earth shadow. Still worth a try.
