Just came from getting a great view of the ISS and Atlantis. Thanks to the changing perspective as their viewing angle changed, they appeared about 10-degrees apart as they climbed up the northwest sky . . . but the apparent separation seemed to widen to about 12 or 13-degrees as they reached their maximum altitude of 55-degrees above the north-northeast horizon. ISS was in front . . . Atlantis was following behind. Had both in view nearly four minutes, from 9:20 to 9:24 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. ISS had a distinct yellow color . . . Atlantis appeared pure white. Great show and (for a change) perfectly clear skies! -- joe rao ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
