Hi, If it can be of some help to identify objects in photos or seen visually, I've made a sketch of a similar fuel dump from a NOSS launch in February 2005. Satellites and Centaur stage were visible and the pass was nearly overhead : http://www.obsat.com/images/AC206dump1.jpg Daniel Deak Webmestre, site Obsat Pompier, municipalite de L'Avenir, Quebec COSPAR site 1747 : 45.7275°N, 72.3526°W, 191 m., UTC-4:00 Site en francais sur les satellites: French-language satellite web site : http://www.obsat.com -----Message d'origine----- De : Björn Gimle (GlocalNet) [mailto:bg_26934@glocalnet.net] Envoyé : 18 juin 2007 07:27 À : pouria nazemi; seesat-l@satobs.org Cc : babaktafreshi@gmail.com Objet : Re: More about Iranian Cloud Thank you for this info, I have received and investigated Babak Tafreshi's images. Two of his images seem to contain a long trail - we expected (at least) two satellites (+rocket) from this launch - and a 30s exposure should give a shorter trail. So my conclusion is that it shows (at least) two satellites trailing each other. The last picture (15s) seems to show an interrupted track (two objects trailing), but also one slightly offset. I would have expected the rocket (brighter) to be visible at the pointed tip of the cloud, but can't see it. If we can get times to the nearest second, or at least interval between images, we can improve the orbit determinations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
