ISS flare.........

    No chance of seeing ISS tonight.....heavy cloud and rain.However at 2250 BST 
    I was watching NASA TV as the complex approached the
    SW tip of the UK and noticed a tremendous flare from the solar panel of the 
    Soyuz docked at Pirs.
    
    
    Of course the station is travelling Zvezda forward whilst Atlantis is docked 
    .....could this be why we are seeing the flares ........  or is it simply a 
    matter of  sun angles ?
