The last few times I've seen TOPEX (92-052A, 22076), in the
last week or so, it has exhibited variations, including a sharp
flash, and disappearing and reappearing, as well as bright
flaring such as I have seen before. I see that Russell has an
"I" for it on one of his recent observations ("9205201" in his
    reports).

Since the first time I saw it do a very bright flare, I've
usually tried to see its passes, hoping to see more of those.
But these last few passes have been different.

    Alsat 1 Rk (02-054C, 27561). On a few passes recently I have
seen this one do a single very bright flash, possibly negative
magnitude. I've been getting a flash period of around 6 to 7
    seconds.
