Back in November 2000, I reported sparkling from Ume 2 (78-018B, 10675): http://satobs.org/seesat/Nov-2000/0173.html Earlier tonight (June 14 UTC) I saw it do a very similar pass -- relatively bright sparkles too fast for me to count, in two episodes lasting several seconds each. These took place roughly from 4:22:39 to 4:23:36 UTC, when it then resumed more normal, regular flashes. Monday evening (June 13 UTC) near another object I saw three quick faint flashes. I tried to see more but did not. Findsat says that those flashes possibly might have come from LES 2 (01360, 65-034B), a small, spinning polyhedral satellite. There were also a couple of pieces of debris in the area, so this is just a possibility.
