    You are right. Geostationary meant that the orbit is
    1) equatorial, ie. inclination to the equator is 0 (zero) degrees,
    2) orbital period is equal to one Earth's revolution around its axis (in respect
    to the stars, ie one stellar day, ie. 1436 min - approx.).
    Therefore suach a satellite remains fixed in one spot above Equator.
    If the inclination is nonzero, the satellite makes a figure eight (8) trajectory
    aboe the Earth's surface. In this case the orbit may be called geosynchronous.
