Hi: IMHO, Satspy is good for wide angle /whole sky surveys of interested sats group. It had a marvellous feature called "cone". You can use this to narrow down the potential candidates that pass through a specific region of the sky (RA/DEC, diameter in degree). However if you a good positon/direction of travel / time fix on the sats then I still prefer Robert Matson's Skymap with its better star charting and satellite selection 'interface'. I find graphical means a little easier than the equally powerful command line dos program such as quicksat etc. But I believe most use multiple tools as suited. rgds ykChia Long 103.08225, Lat 1.4425, 20m http://www.geocities.com/ykchia_1999/ ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
