    Spotted a couple of oddities whilst failing to spot USA116 - twice. Unfortunately, I didn't have my watch or compass close at hand, so the timings/measurements aren't very accurate, I'm afraid...

    1. 3rd June, 23.29 BST, altitude: 40°, heading N, azimuth: E. This caught my eye as it was flashing very rapidly, at about mag 0. As it faded, the flashing became more difficult to see & it more resembled a "normal" satellite pass;
    2. 3rd June, 23.44 BST, altitude: 45°, heading SE, azimuth: E. Flashes of mag 0 at about 4 second intervals;
    3. 5th June, 01.48 BST, altitude: 15°, heading S, azimuth: NNW. I thought I'd inadvertantly spotted an Iridium sat, as it flared to -2 before fading, but I've just checked Heavens Above & there's nothing predicted for that time...

    Can anyone enlighten me as to what they were likely to be?

    Many thanks for your help.

    Best wishes,

    Mark (50.909°N, 2.789°W)
