    Make sure you have the complete path to the directory of the star catalogues
    and other skymap files on main menu setting "D".
    Set the name of the first star file (Tycho00.dat, HIP8.dat or whatever) on
    the F1/F1 entry.
    (Or set the full path+name here, and for TLE on F7/F1)
    
    Because of a property of the compiler, the F77L.EER file must be copied to
    each directory where you want to start up SkyMap. Having this file available
    usually tells you more of the cause of the error.
    
    Of course you should also have suitable magnitude limits on F1/F8, and a
    reasonable plot size on F4/F4
