Starshine, STS-96 and the ISS
Sat, 5 Jun 1999 04:41:48 EDT

There was another great pass this morning in the predawn sky. STS-96 was
again about a -1 mag and it lead the ISS by about 25 seconds as they passed
over the Little Dipper at 04:26 EDT (08:26 UTC).

I did not see any flashes from Starshine until the end of the pass. At
04:28:55 I observed 2 flashes spaced about 2 seconds apart (40az, 16 el).
The flashes were about 0.5 deg ahead of STS-96 and were about a +4.0 mag.
