According to the radio shack support site

http://support.tandy.com

The two clocks from radio shack appear to have a seconds display

Super-Accurate Auto-Set Digital Clock

Auto-Set Digital Clock
(630-0970)

In the operation portion of the page it's say's

To switch between viewing the second display and the day of the week, press
MODE/SET

So you should see if these clocks do have a second display, as they are not
available in canada, so I can't look at one.

I wouldn't mine getting a garmin GPS 25LP receiver because of the following

Looking to GPS as an embedded solution for your product? GARMIN's
high-performance GPS engines are just what you've been looking for. The GPS
25 Series offers a compact profile that includes all the features you
need-such as a realtime clock, PPS timing output, non-volatile memory,
differential GPS capability, and raw measurement output for both
pseudorange and phase data-right on board. GARMIN's 12-channel GPS 25
Series engines offer superior performance, very low-power efficiency, and
flexibility for any application.

With that I could get very accurate time, and position.
