This is from the OIG Web Site:

                            To all Customers
                             Policy Change

Effective July 1, 1998 NASA is implementing a policy change regarding customer
access to data at the \\ Web site. This policy change
conditional in regard to the near-term and long-term effects which it may have
on our system. If the Web site usage becomes sluggest because some users type
of accessing, then adjustments will be made on those users access. The daily
files, containing recently available data for all objects in orbit, will be
accessible by any long-term registered user.

Each of these files is updated weekly on its scheduled work day (Monday
Friday) or as soon after as practical. Customers that wish to down load these
files can do so by configuring their individual home page. Due to the size of
these files we make the suggestion to our customers that they access these
only as often as needed. They are available in ASCII text format and Pkzip

In short this policy change is being made to provide all OIG data to all
Like all systems there are resource limitations, and your usage of this Web
will drive future modifications in data accessing.

The support for the OIG Bulletin Board will be discontinued on 30 June 1998!
