Hi all, Just observed (21:08-21:13 UTC) Mir and Discovery from Moscow, Russia. Both passed low in the West, Mir some four minutes earlier. Despite low Moon and haze, both spacecraft were easily seen in binoculars; Mir entered shadow after passing below and to the left of Spica, and Discovery well before Spica. I've seen only one object an orbit later, at 19:35 UTC, in a much better pass. Failed to make a prediction and wasn't aware that Mir and shuttle are such close these hours.
