	If they are near a US-owned island on the equator "near Kiritimati",
then that would be Jarvis (160W, -.2S).

	Incidentally Kiritimati (pronounced something like "Keeleeseemas" I
think, which is the local pronounciation and spelling of "Christmas") is the
spot on Earth that will be the first to celebrate the new millenium, now that
they decided to pretend they are West of the dateline so they can be on the
same day of the week as the Western parts of their country. We can only guess
the Chatham Islands (part of New Zealand) will be miffed at being beaten to
the punch by a paltry 15 minutes!
