If you think you see a meteor that's AT LEAST magnitude -3, and possibly more
(as bright as Venus, for instance, vs. Sirius or only Vega, etc...), then you
should report it to FIDAC, the Fireball Data Center. They have a Web page at:

with a (fairly simple) report form for your sighting at:
http://www.tu-chemnitz.de/~smo/imo/fireball/report.html
Sightings reported to FIDAC go in their database, and can actually contribute to
important meteorics studies (so I'm told :>), so please report any you see!
