As evidenced by the 1986-017 LP designation of USSPACECOM #23927
(the latest elset I have seen)
11*24 + 14 =3D 278 objects have been cataloged from Mir.
The oldest piece still in orbit (and not attached) is GFZ-1 #23557,
86-17 JD, which was catalogued 14 months ago. Thus, 59 objects have
been cataloged ( four/month ), so the current activity is unusual.
