Position measurement and Atlas BRNO

I do regular amateur meteor plotting using first-generation copies of the
Atlas BRNO - the standard gnomonic atlas for plotting meteor paths. Would
these charts be appropriate for plotting satellite tracks? What technique
could I use in the field for correlating plot start and end points with
times in UT. (I generally have a TimeCube on hand for my meteor work.)
Also, would it be useful to plot some number of flashes along with path?
