STS

Mir and Shuttle -- beautiful in Northern California!

Just saw a nice pass by both of these tonight. Culmination was at 70
degrees. Mir at 05:23 UT (June 29) and STS at 05:25 UT.

Mir had a bronze hue and was a little brighter than Vega. STS was pure
white and exhibited a broad, gradual increase in brightness that at its
peak nearly equalled Jupiter.

The timed separation between the two by appulse to a star was 1m56.3s

A warm night, clear skies, no moon and a high pass by two manned spacecraft.
Does it get any better than this? :)
